Whatever the reasons, I think it's a dis-service the the 350Z/G35 communities. It's a shame if it's only related to financial matters...

The money for the premier membership really isn't all that much, unfortunately I'm starting to see the same things.

I'll need to thing hard when it's time to renew.

I don't see anything wrong for banning APS for not paying their fees. Intensepower is a site sponser which paid their fee. They also don't sell APS products. Along comes Peter and promotes his product (APS) and also posts links that send you to APS's website. If you don't see anything wrong that then you need to wake up. They are a direct competition to a sponser (Intensepower) that paid their fee to be on here. Also on my350z Crawdford is a sponser. Along comes APS promoting their new plenum.

APS has a great product and Peter shared a lot of information. Regardless if his customer service was excellent he was still pushing product. Anyone notice how many APS installs have been going on in the past month? A ****z load! Do you think it has anything to do with Peter being on this forum as well as my350z and 350zmotoring the past 3 months promoting APS? Of course it does.

If I was a site sponser and another company got to promote their products without paying the fee I would be pretty f'ing pissed.

You are comparing apple to oranges. If someone posts info about a product as long as they don't work for that company and have something to gain then there is nothing wrong with that. Regular members can recommend APS all they want, but when APS comes on here and recommends APS that is a different story. Also you don't even really need to be a competitor to banned. If I inventived a flux capacitor that gave you a gain of 100whp even if I was not competition to any site sponsers I still would not be able to promote here with out paying my fees.

I think a warning should of been given first, I'm also sure that APS would probably not have a problem becoming a member. I also don't see anyone talking about Turbonetics and how they are not a sponsor on the Z forum and why they haven't been banned.

APS has a great product and Peter shared a lot of information and many of us really like the fact that we could gather information from them. APS will sell many kits because Peter was here to answer questions and give us feed back on concerns were other companies you'll be lucky to talk to them on the phone.

I agree they should become a sponser and that would be great for us and sponsers who carry there products.

As for the other concerns with site, hmmm seems like many members are un happy and I would like to see some your issues addressed because we do have a nice forum with tons of info.

They were warned. They were previously banned and then unbanned for this same issue.

I have never read a post where turbonetics was promoting their products or posting links to their website. The only post from Turbonetics I have seen are questions being answered.

This is the issue. Yet they did not pay their fees....free advertisment. If all APS did was answer questions they would not have been banned.....how is posting a link to pictures of their new plenum asking question?

Yeah, I wished they would have paid their fees so they can still be on here.

I don't know about any other issues.

Well servers and things like that are required to run this site are not free. And regardless if they are being greedy or not this is America and that is capitalism. If your were the owner of this site I am sure you would feel the same way, but it is very easy to stand on the other side on the fence when you don't have to wear their shoes. No laws dictate that g35driver has to offer anything for free. I sure as hell would not put up anything for free.

I'm curious, i've never even known anyone who runs a forum. About how much does it cost $ wise? I'm sure it takes a boat load of personal time, but this type of place is done out of a common passion for something. In our case its a car, that we may or may not ever do a single thing to other that wash, dry, and drive. So my point is, this site boasts something like 15k members. Now Im not great at math but lets see, if 1/4 of them were "Premier" members @ 30bucks a head isnt that like $112,500 even 1/8 of the masses = a 55 grand! Thats alot of cash to run a forum, thats why I wondered how much it costs. I know that I can say what ever I want to say on here and they can choose to ban whatever they want, or even me for that matter. Not like Ive paid or ever will pay a dime to join a forum, I dont need group buys, a avatar, and whatever else you get. I get what I need outta this site for free. Ive made some friends, met some business contacts. and got all the ideas ill ever need to do my G exactly the way I want. Thats all for now....

i don't know the exact numbers but there're somewhere between 24000-25000 members now and only about 100 became Premier member.that's roughly 1/240%. does anybody know how much money it take to run site like this monthly? a **** LOAD.that 30 bucks membership is a whole year yo.365 days.how many times you log in here a day? did you learn a thing or two so far?i did, some infomations in here that i've learned could prevent me from losing way more than $30.they did not put a gun on my head and said "you have to be a premier member" i did it because i'd feel like i can give back something and it be use to offset the cost to keep this site going.not only for me but for many many come behide me.i'm not sure why Peter was banned but i'm pretty sure it more than just a sponsor fee.he once offers to ply Gurgen over oz land to test drive a G.to me that was business.so a fee is nothing compare to that.how many turbo kits and products he already sold because of this site and my350z? ALOT.almost 10k a kit, think about it.that's why i think it not the money issue.unless...but what do i know.personally i hope he can work things out and come back to the sites because he is leaving a lot of guys hanging.

Agree. I like the APS products BUT they do need to pay up. Others have to so why should they not.
I agree about the site getting more and more locked down. Seems like a lot of odd things have been going on.
