On the highway my ATI imporved my gas milage, around down it hurt it a bit, but mostly because the ATI makes it hard to stay out of the throttle...
There are several tuning options for the ATI, and with a CORRECT tune with the supplied FMU you won't have to worry about timing. However, as your A/F rises timing becomes much more critical.
To address timing I went with an ATI spec'd TS reflash, bigger injectors, fuel pump, and return fuel system. My Procharger is still for sale in the classifieds too!

So what kind of gas mileage are u seeing for a full tank on average? Also for the TS reflash, will I need dyno tunning bc not all cars run the same or have the same a/f ratio so how will the reflash work without retuning?
