GRD Delivered! APS TT 442whp!!

Hey guys,

I'll be getting my car very soon from GRD in Chicago. They've done a fantastic job so far and I thought I'd pass along the numbers on my APS TT. Tuan tuned it on a 93 octane map with 9lbs of boost. I'm sure some will say "your motor is toast!" but Tuan has been running his 350Z at 500whp for more than 11,000 miles on stock internals with no problems. After talking to him at length, I feel confident in his belief that my stock motor will be fine with these numbers. Especially since I can get 94 octane in Ohio. If not, I'll just build for more hp!

For a comparison, the baseline stock numbers are from Tuan's Z before any of his current mods.

Yup, it's all about the tune baby. The APS/Turbonetics kits are really showing what our engines are really capable of. Enjoy, it's going to be a blast.

NICE!! Congrats on your set-up. 93oct sure does help. By the way, I decided to stay with stock motor. Will look for another motor to build-up later. Hopefully my set-up will be ready in couple weeks. Hoping to get around 460-470rwhp at 8.5 psi with this 60-1 TT set-up on 91oct. with stock motor. Will see.

Thanks Larry. Yes and 94 will keep it safer. So your going FI on your stock motor hoping for 460+?! Wow, I thought I was brave with 442! Good luck and can't wait to see the numbers.

The local tuner in my area is running a 350z at 500hp with the Greddy kit with Stock internals. Has a custom fuel rail setup and ECU re-flashed. I will see if I can get a dyno sheet on the car. My plan is to go 450hp off stock internals for about a year and then next winter build up my bottom end or possibly next summer.

Been doing a lot of reading and calling different tuners in the US. Seems to all come down to tuning and air/fuel problems most people have.

Buddy of mine is running the APS TT on his Z at 440 HP on stock internals. Has over 10,000 miles on the kit and runs it very hard. So much of it is in the tuning. I've lasted 6 days so far at 472 HP.

Brian,

Sorry if I missed it somewhere... Are you having gauges installed?

Very nice 472whp. Will try to achieve that witout Cams or Plenum, just with my HKS exhaust between 7.5 to 8.5 psi with these larger turbos. Will see how close I get.
