Just go with different EMS, either Split Second ( used in Vortech SC ), Ultimate Emanage, Unichip or better yet get the HKS V Pro. Your probably going to add more mods later, so a tune-able EMS, will be best IMO. Also you can get a bigger turbo, a T66 instead of the T60-1, then get bigger injectors.

I have been quoted $3k for install of the APS TT. Is there something special about the Tnetics that allows install for only $750?

I had the same problem. You need to download a codec package.

Here is the download page where I got mine and it allowed video to play.

You don't have to remove the factory manifolds for a single turbo so the install time is a lot less. ST's installs are comparble to SC's installs.

Installation time is about 10hrs. Average shop price per hr. $75 x 10 hr. = $ 750. So only 2 days for install. Best to send in your ecu for flash prior to installation, to reduce down time. Now with a twinturbo kit, install is about 25-30+ hrs. depending on kit. About 5-7 days down time. Average $2500 for install, may or may not include tuning.

Can you tell us how the lag is on the turbo and where can I find some specs on the turbo itself?

Well here is a dyno chart from a Z kit. This was first dyno. A week later under better testing the guy made 390 RWHP. Blue is stock. Red is a Vortech install. Green is the Turbonetics kit. As for lag...there isn't any. Full boost at 3200. Yes the G kit will be $250 more. The piping was coming off the car yesterday to go to production. it should take about a month to have kits ready to ship. I will try to get a hold of Brad this week to get more details. They finished taking the install instruction pics also yesterday so I should have that for you soon. Here is the dyno chart:

Here is some more info Brad posted on my350 too:

we calculated the required airflow required across the intercooler core and the available airflow with the stock front facia in place was too restrictive, even when ducting was contimplated the airflow was not enough.

the answer was to create a fan shroud with a pair of Spal pusher fans to force the airflow needed across the core. the shroud actually increased the airflow over simply mounting the fans on brackets.

the fans are tied into a relay system that runs the fans at 50% speed when the key is on but under no boost to help heat soak under no boost conditions as sitting in traffic and then once you get into boost the fans kick up to 100%.

the other feature we desinged in was if you do change the facia to a front opening version the fans and shroud simply unbolt, you then turn the intercooler around putting the shroud mounting bosses facing the rear of the car and re-install back into the mounting brackets. it then looks just like the 350Z.

And yes the first test kit will be going to a shop for a mag to cover the install etc... That should happen in the next week or so...

I think I heard somewhere on the my350z that the 05 ECU is ready for Turbonetics. Someone chime in and correct me if I'm wrong...

Or you can get the new Greddy Emanage Ultimate. There is a long thread @ my350z's forced induction section. Check it out.

That was for the 05 350z and yes you can do the EU instead of the flash.
