Talking Went Into GRD 4 Single Turbo & Left With...

The Twin Turbo! I'm in the GRD APS Single Turbo but after talking to the guys at GRD, other TT owners and finally my wife gave the approval. That's all I needed, so right now the install has begun. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, I can't wait!

Thanks I will! Congrats to you too! Much more exciting than originally buying the G or any other car.

It's Genesis Racing Development in Naperville, IL. The cost is a few $K more than the ST but initial power and potential is greater.

So are you selling your ST kit?

What's the point of the additional $3-4k for a TT over a ST, when you really have to rebuild the engine to take advantage of the added potential? I mean if you're shooting for 400 RWHP, you can do that with a ST or even a Vortech and some simple mods (plenum, cats, exhaust), correct?

I understand that down the road you might want to shoot for more HP and this gives you the option - but that option is an expensive one anyway...

Is there anything inherently "better" (read as safer or more reliable) in the APS TT kit vs the ST kit?

Just curious about all the factors that made you switch, other than higher potential gains.

Well there's the 50-60hp difference right off the bat. Tuan/GRD said he can get me at least 430-440whp safely, the ST is around 380-390whp. He's been running his Z at 500whp for a long time with 0 problems and he's soon going to push that even further to show the internals are not weak, it's the tuning.

Hey Brian,
Wow, Im shocked. Well not really, figured you'd like the TT better. From what Ive seen with dynos with APS TT, you'd need to go with Cams, APS true dual 2.5" piping and test pipes to get close to 440rwhp at stock boost. Also I think your Nismo exhaust will be a little restrictive. Now you'll have the power to back-up the look of your G. Congrats again.

Thanks Larry, my wife gave me the go and I didn't want to say later I wished I would of went for it. I understand your point on the hp potential but Tuan (Master Yoda) said that 440whp is realistic. Man, I hope he's right.

Sweet deal dude your car is sick as it is and now this. I got all excited cuz I just got the wifes approval and bought the Fuji exhaust, but thats nothing compared to this. BTW I was born in Edwards hospital in Naperville, I miss that "not so little anymore" town.
