I come from a FI'd car with 330+ TQ using a turbo setup, so you really FEEL the power. I am sure with a good tune, I am going to gain a ton of TQ and HP, but I think I should just do the 3.12 and call it a day. I am the type of person who just likes to get something, get it done, get it working and move onto to other things.

What can I say, once I get an idea.. it gets done.

I'll have to grab some pictures of my gauge "install" in the glove box, aka throwing the gauges in there until Defi sends me a new master harness.

I will tell everyone this, it seems I am only seeing .3 BAR at full boost (converts to roughly 4.349 psi). I knew that the car should have felt much faster than it does. I have not tightened the belt down since the install (on saturday) and have driven the car about 100 miles or so pretty hard. I am also going to look at all of the couplers again and make sure that everything is extremely tight. If tightening up the belt doesn't fix it, I am going to buy different clamps for the couplers. These "worm" clams with the flat head screws are absolute garbage. I will keep everyone posted and take some pictures of stuff this weekend. It would be nice if my gauge pod had some suede on it and my painter would finish up my bumper lights.

Im running 13.5 psi and have preasurized the system with over 20psi . The clamps that came with the kit held the preasure . There not pretty but they do the job just fine .

did you go with the GATES belt up front? The GOODYEAR CRAP it comes with stretches like crazy! Also, if you go with the smaller pulley, you'll need a 93" serp belt too. GATES makes them.

Went with the gates belt (pictures of it a few pages back). I tightened it as far as that bolt would go underneath the car, and I was pulling pretty damn hard on it. I can only move the belt up and down about 1/4" but I can still twist the belt a good bit. Not sure if I am missing something in the tightening procedure, but it seems pretty straight forward.

I received the 3.12 pulley last night and for some reason CPRace sent me a goodyear gatorback belt with it, instead of the gates belt? Interesting...

Did you pay extra for the gates belt? The pulley comes with the gatorback and you only get the gates when you pay for it.

Also, and the part about you only reaching 4psi... ha ha-ha ha ha. (now maybe you'll quit ragging on me for not doing the install myself).

My Vortech kit is supposed to be delivered tomorrow!!!

But....my install is on hold for a week or so.....cause my early 03 transmission, just started grinding 3rd!

It's all good though, cause Infiniti just ordered me a brand new one yesterday under warranty! They said the newer ones are also stronger and better suited for the SC.

Question: What is the part number for the Gates belt for the standard pulley?

Thanks!

The belt was just a little stretched after a week of driving, I tightened it up and I am hitting a solid .4 BAR at full boost.. it still isn't 8 PSI, but it doesn't seem like many people get the full 8 PSI from what I am hearing....?

And I did pay for the GATES belt, I actually paid $20 over what Napa charges to buy it through CP Race. So is the Gatorback belt included in the price of the $70.00 3.12 Pulley? If it is, I need to put in a stern phone call with someone with the initials DJ.

My flywheel (lightened and resurfaced) and clutch (stage 3 kevlar) went 6 HOURS after I sold my car. How much does that suck? Luckily I am a nice guy and got the guy the new parts, but I can't imagine how crappy he felt.

I just hope on this car, axles are stronger than on maximas!
