That's what I was thinking too. Not unless you work for VP fuels and fill up with MR8(or better) everyday. Come to think of it the thing that limits the stock motor are the rods not detenation. 450+ft/lbs of torque and 3500rpms equals snapped piston and hole in block.

I took a ride in a turbo 350Z roadster on Friday. He was putting down 448 to the wheels on his stock block. Had been on it for a little over 3000 miles. Wonder how long before it blows.

IMO the VQ35 is stronger than most think. There are several people running 440-460whp on stock blocks with out any problems. Hell, Tuan from GRD has been running 500whp for about 11,000 miles. With a good tune, I think the VQ35 can handle up to 450whp realiably.

Exactly, I'm hoping to leave with GRD with my G in hand running 420+whp. Tuan convinced me it's all in the tuning.

So a Greddy TT kit w/intercooler, maybe a Greddy Evo2 exhaust and some other odds n ends (turbo timer, plugs, etc) with a GOOD install will get you 400+ HP on a stock block? And itll be "safe" to drive around the streets like a stock G35??? If this is the case, then im ready to take the plunge - theres a certified Greddy dealer near me that has good knowledge of installing TT kits and working on nice cars.....

Any imput on the Greddy Kit...good or bad??? Or is this a Pro-APS thread? If so, why??? Pros n Cons of each???

To me, if you can thrash on a car at the track, you can drive it agressively on the street w/o problems.....so this 'record breaking' G would be safe to rip around the streets blowing up on Vettes and killing the backraods...no?
