Talking The Numbers are in

I got the first dyno on my set up this weekend and the numbers are in:

Max HP: 359.6 WHP
Max Torque: 335.6 ft./lb.

That is on 93 Octane at just over 6 PSI of boost. The set up is capable of more power but we are very conservative with the setup and the A/F throughout the pull was never more than 11 to 1. More to come along with the video and print out.

how do you like the system? Is the 6lbs. stock boost for this type of system?

Greddy ships the kit out of the box at 5.5 psi if I am not mistaken I increased the boost when I lowered my compression ratio. The Profec is a simple unit to use when increasing the boost so it wasn't a headache and we wanted some better numbers when we dynoed. In my opinion, the system is great (I know this forum is Pro APS) but I have nothing but good things to say about the Greddy system. All I have to say is....we'll see who is laughing when you 10 psi on stock internals guy's blow your motors......I mean what's the difference between 420 and 360 hp...they are both f-ing fast.

This is from another thread you wrote. How do you have 8.5 compression if you haven't built your motor. Must be one huge headgasket! 4.0mm or more. Lets see 10.3 to 8.5. I smell b***sh**. How did you lower your compression?

You hit the nail on the head DJ it is in fact a head gasket. And yes my compression is that low. The reason for the low boost of course is because all I have to keep the compression down is a flimsy little head gasket. Sorry to disappoint but not b***sh**. But Yes 60 hp is a fun difference and all....but at a full 10.3 to 1 compression it's a ticking time bomb...Every successful pull is on borrowed time. But let's set the record straight....I am not wishing ill will on the high boost stock compression TT's I love that our cars can pull that kind of power. Nothing pleases me more than to see huge dyno numbers. But coming from a Turbo Prelude (stock compression) motor blown I just didn't want to deal with the same headaches.....Therefore my choice was to slowly build the motor up with the boost instead of adding a lot of boost and building the motor up behind it.
