Some 0-60mph G-tech numbers... pretty happy

Hey Guys

Just got my replacement g-tech mount and started using it for the first time in over 6 months. Did a fresh calibration..and went on!

At baseline boost, which is about 9-9.5 psi, here were the numbers (the top two runs):

60' = 2.055 sec
0-60mph = 4.152 sec

60' = 2.067 sec
0-60mph = 4.175 sec

This is WITHOUT break torqueing. Sorry, didn't have the appropriate stretch of road to get a 1/4 mile measurement. Also, on EVERY run, it would spin from 4000rpm to redline. I will definitely be in the 3's if I could hook up. At higher boost levels (tried 10.x psi), I could not hook up AT ALL. I am really feeling the need for that LSD now for sure!

Anyway, I am pretty happy.

Nice numbers. Do you have any pics of this G-tech? How much does it cost? Thanks!

Gurgen, are you running on drag radials? djniknala has pretty good success running them as street tires.

They are VERY reliable IF AND ONLY IF it's used exactly how it was inteneded:

1) It is properly calibrated (with a Mag value, which is the internal calibration measurement value of between 0.999 and 1.001, although the manual says that you can get very accurate measurements as long as the mag value is 0.995 to 1.005).
2) on a LEVEL piece of road from start to finish (i.e. it can't slope up or down at any point along the run).

there are other things you should follow as well, but these are two main ones.

I'm considering those ... do they come in 19's, neff?

I am using the GTech Pro Competition that's upgraded to the latest firmware...so it's basically their top of the line Gtech Pro RR. It's $299, has both road racing AND drag racing mode. You can download your runs onto a computer for better analysis. The Gtech Pro SS is $199, you get the same accurate measurement without the ability to download runs to a computer.

You mean 2 (two) full seconds faster, right? When my car was NA, the fastest I could get out of it was 6.002sec 0-60mph, and that's with an ECU reflash, plenum, intake.

Good point! The number I was stating was the difference between your time and the fastest time I have ever seen in a mag. Of course, we all know how reliable mags are.

Yeah I knew my numbers were off but that's the best I could muster up from my bad memory. Wonder what times you would get if you could actually hook up.
