Adding a TT/SC for a High Mileage G?

I have an '04 6MT and it has currently 20k miles. I don't know if I am going to keep my car for the next year or two right now, so I'm not doing anything drastic. But, if I wanted to add FI in a year or two, what mileage should I stay under? I don't think adding FI to a 50k mileage car would be good.

i'm not sure if there is a magic number to stay under before going FI. there is a guy from MRC that added the APS TT on a 350Z with i believe 66K miles on it when installed. i know it had at least that when i drove it.

I have 31K miles and it's running fantastic. 2k with the TT installed and no problems so far.

As long as you perform the proper maintenance to your vehicle, it shouldn't really matter. I'd throw a FI kit on a car with 75,000 miles and proper maintenance over a car that had 30,000 miles with questionable maintenance. Do a compression/leak down check and if the test shows good numbers....boost away!

Jason From MRC ( www.racemrc.com ) did install the First APS TT in the US on his Z with 66K on it. Currently, he has driven his car since last Oct 20K and not a problem. He also drove the car un-tuned for 8K on the 91 map, and he puts 93 in the car. My father had a 69 cutlass with a Vortech SC on the original engine with 145K on it. I know they are completely 2 different engines, but like someone else said, everything should be fine with proper maintenance.
