engine builds, turbos

sorry if this has been mulled over in a bunch of other threads, i was hoping to narrow it all down. to those of you who have done engine builds, turbos, etc, how much does each of these cost and how much hp did you gain? i am one of those guys who once he starts something likes to go all out, and i'd like a little better idea of exactly how much money is involved before going nuts. thanks!

for a engine build and a tt kit with all the extras and labor you are looking at $25-$30K. After all that money and a couple months of down time your car should put down between 500-600whp.

you could always take the less expensive route and not build the motor. a TT kit with all needed parts and extras plus labor will be around $13K and will get you a good 450whp. just be ready to build a motor and have a spare car if anything happens. Although if you find a qualified shop to do the install and tune you shouldn't have a problem. a year ago people thought 375whp was the max on the stock motor and now numerous people are making 450whp + and not just with the APS TT either. There are also people with the so called "not safe" greddy tt kit making that amount of power also.

Stuart, Drive down to Orlando this Friday afternoon and head out to the track with us that evening. Alan will be there with his built engine and you can ask him a gazillion questions.

So a $30,000 engine build and TT set up would net me another 600rwhp on top of stock? Sorry Tinman, I'm j/k. Please, don't post any files of guys shaking their ****** at me. LOL

no Neff stock hp is included.meaning if you looking for 600rwhp,you would spend about $30000 to get there
and the '****** shaking' is only for VRT.
