Almost ready ....
Yeah that was also my thought. I know its not the FMU or pump cause it was working great on my car. I dont think shipping could have changed anything. I REALLY think its in the two lines that go to the stock lines. Thats the only ones that were cut from my system.
I towed my car to a shop ... im leaving it there till they can look at it .... he unplugged the MAF from the intake and the car started and idled perfect .... hes not sure as of yet to whats wrong .... ill keep you guys updated
*******This is what went on during the install*********
Whats up fellas. Well i am the guy that was helping my best friend (cky2k) install the supercharger on his car. As he said, we ran into a couple of small problems. The stupid adapter that goes into the hole where the oil pressure sending unit was lost. We went throught the BIGGEST mission trying to find a die to re-thread the TEE to fit. FINALLY, we were able to get everything working fine. The install was pretty straight forward. G352nv helped us with useful info over the phone. Thanks BTW. After the install, we cranked her up, and BAM...started right up no problems...after about 3-5 seconds of idling, she would just bog down and shut off. First thought was..."ok, we there's still air pockets in the fuel system and we have to give the fuel a chance to run through all the fuel lines". No luck...We then started brainstorming on what the hell could be wrong. It sounds like its a fuel related issue because the car cranks up but as soon as you tap the throttle, it shuts right off. We tried re-routing the vaccum line directly to the manifold pressure source on the plenum (sp?)..NOTHING. Checked all wiring to the fuel pump, everything was fine. Checked for blown fuses, nothing. Then we went ahead and completely bypassed the SS box and let the OEM ECU run the car. The car cranked right up and it ran for about 5 seconds then it did the same thing. We put the SS box back to the way it was and same thing...NOTHING. After about 1 hr of trial and error, we decided to call G352nv. He suggested that the fuel lines might have been criss crossed, we went ahead and checked everything and it turns out that they WERE WRONG. A co-worker of cky, went ahead and put the lines the right way then DOUBLE and TRIPLE checked to make sure they were set up correctly. cranked her up and what do you know...car started fine and STAYED on and idled PERFECT....for 15 seconds. We thought everything was fine because it stayed on longer than the usual 5 seconds but of course....it bogged down and shut off. By then, all 3 of us were pretty stumped as to what could have happened. You could hear the OEM fuel pump energizing when the key is turned to the ON position, so it seems to be fine. By that time, it was about 9:30PM we were EXHAUSTED so we decided to call it a night. G352nv suggested that we should connect the fuel lines back to stock and see if she fires up. We didnt get a chance to try that last night because we were too damn tired already and it started raining on us. CKY decided to have the car towed today to a local shop that has worked on vortech superchargers and done several installs on g35's/350Z's and nissans in general. I just got off the phone with him and he said that they were trying to figure out what the problem might be but no luck YET. The ONE thing they DID find, is that when they disconnected the MAF, the car starts and idles fine WITHOUT shutting off AT ALL. so it might be something related to that. I'm sure CKY will come on here and give more details as to what went on at the shop. They said that they wont have time to check the car out FULLY until tomorrow (MAYBE) since as you guys might know, there is a hurricane headed our way that should be hitting us tomorrow morning. Depending on how severe the hurricane is, the guys might go into the shop in the morning and start working on the car.
Thank you guys for all your support. And thanks a million to G352NV for all the tips and help as we went along on the install. Sorry for nagging you so much.
Cant forget TurboMaxima either, we read his how-to a couple of times to make sure we were on the right track.
We'll keep everyone updated on the issue.

EDIT: I guess sometime when i was writing my LOOOOONG *** post, CKY came on here and posted (post above mine). Ahh well.

This is what i'm thinking....i've been busting my head all day trying to figure out what could be wrong with the car....since the car seems to run fine without the MAF connected, I'm thinking that maybe its the base fuel map that was pre-loaded into the SS box. Seeing how the fuel map on there is for an '03 and the kit is installed on an '04, there might be a small variance in MAF readings/signal/voltage between '03s and '04s. I really dont know much about G35's seeing how i drive an SRT4 so maybe someone with a little more knowledge on the subject can chime in here. I think that maybe our best bet is to load an '04 base map into the SS box using the R4 software. I'll first get a reading from the SS box and compare the fuel map to a fuel map from an '04 to see what settings vary between the two years. Thinking about how a piggyback works, my two options would be to load a base fuel map from an '04, or if i cant get my hands on one. I'll have to make my own and just adjust ALL the values to 10% accross the board for fuel, and 0% for ignition timing. Any input is greatly appreciated.

my idle is really close to the 0 .... then sometimes stays right in the middle .... is that normal ?
also how do i tell if im to lean or to rich ? i dont want to WOT until i get the tune ... but the car seems to be running fine ... ive gone to 4k and it feels good .... no gauges yet so i cant tell ...
