How do the superchargers feel during the heat of the summer?? I know they're cooled, but does it still feel as strong during 90 degree + heat? What about w/ the a/c on?

all cars are going to feel a little slower in the summer.

the vortech seems a little slower with the AC on IMO

turbos will still manage to get the same PSI into the engine so they won't lose as much power as a supercharger, but it will all be hotter air going into a turbo engine which might lead to possible detonation

I've read so much on FI over the past 2 weeks, my head hurts...lol.
There are plenty of guys who are running turbos on stock internals. Most are single turbo setups, since most of the tt guys appear to be beefing up the internals. Just do a search and you can check it out. Check out the info on my350z.com too. Plenty of info there too.

What kinda internal upgrades are they doing? Just like pistons and rods, or do they upgrade the valvesprings and retainers and stuff too?

Have the stillen stage 2 on my G now. Does anyone else who has the stillen kit or any other FI kit w/ a 5AT hear a fairly loud thud when you shift in manumatic mode above 4k rpms? Sounds like it just slams into the next gear. Never did this prior to going FI, I'm assuming it's due to the additional hp/tq. Should I be concerned?

anyway, i have a built block with aps TT pushing 508 rwhp, 520 lbs/ft. beforehand, the twin turbo was very, very, responsive. 0-60 was a breeze, but felt the car was conforming to the factory trim once i try to go past 60 mph. then again... our cars are very heavy, so i gave the benefit of the doubt.

my car was conservatively tuned 'out of the box' per aps's statement. sadly, a rod bent out. although i didn't destroy the block, i wouldn't be too surprised if my block had went sooner or later.

now with the built block, the car can reach 0-100 with ease. mated with ATS twin carbon with 22 lbs flywheel, the vdc kicks in even while going straight. so, that's enough power for me.

i guess my next mission is weight reduction... response + balance > brute power.

I had the same clutch....sorry to say I hated it. I have the GTM-spec Exedy dual carbon clutch now. You should really give it a try. You can slip it and drive it pretty much oem-like in traffic, and it holds like a b!tch.

Yep so it was your car, had fingerprints all over it...haha needs a good wax job when it's all finished.

I am waiting on Sam to give me a call and tell me mine is ready to go, I am supposed to be flying there this Sunday. Of course I am not aiming for crazy power like yourself
