APS Twin Turbo Kit and 5AT

Has anyone had an APS TT installed on an auto yet? Will it work? I was curious as I look into this.

Thanks.

I'm not sure of any Gs but I'm sure there are Zs with APS TTs out there. Check out the forced induction forums of My350Z & 350zmotoring.

That will be my setup! I talked to a few people who installed APS TT's and they said no problem just go with the VB upgrade.

I heard the New APS exhaust will be in stock next month also.

That exhaust is going to be over kill. I have not seen an automatic putting down over 480whp. This is exhaust is for very hp power vq35. You would be good with just the APS 2.5".

Are you speaking in terms of an automatic APS TT or in general?

In general for an automatic. It's not that an APS TT or any other kit hasn't made more than 500whp, but I have sot seen any auto's push it above 480whp without blowing the tranny.

lol, then upgrade your tranny...and if you're getting close to 450rwhp then you might wanna think about building up those internals...does anyone know of anyone that can do a payment plan for a APS TT? haha i'm just wondering cuz that would be a lot easier that way then saving up...know what i mean? haha peace guys

If it was as easy as upgrading then I am sure the people who have built motors and TT kits would have done that already. I don't think anyone makes an upgraded tranny for the VQ35 yet.

My point in my original post was, if he ins't going to push it past 500whp then there is no need to get the 3" true dual. The 2.5" would be adequate enough.

Hey everyone, this is Sharif from ForgedInternals.com
We have found that the auto tranny needs an upgraded valve body, after 400whp to faciliate shifting under full load in the lower gears. The tranny itself, doesnt need to be replaced, as a valve body upgrade is probably good for 500whp. There are several 5AT's running 500whp+ with just a valve body upgrade.

Which valve body upgrade do you recommend? I saw the SGP is very good. What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

Choice of VB upgrades: Stillen $699, Level 10 $798, SGP $1100. Remove and ship your VB, takes about 1.5hrs to remove your VB. Only Level 10 has a $1000 core exchange. They send you one already completed, send your old VB. SGP is possibly the better of the 3, good up to 500rwhp.

Interesting thread about level 10. This is really the only guy that had over 450whp other than Gurgen that I had seen post.
