Vortech Group Buy Feeler
I just wanted to gauge some interest here. How many are interested in getting the Vortech Supercharger for a low low price? If you were thinking of getting the kit within this year, please chime in. I believe if I get at least 3 other people, we can get an awesome price on it. PM me for more info.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
What would be an "awesome price"??? The best (legit from a real shop) price I've ever recieved for a complete Vortech kit, shipped to my door was $4150. I've also gotten an e-mail qoute from a guy online who doesnt quite have a retail shop, but claims he's got an automotive performance parts mail-order business he runs out of his home office, and he qouted me $100 less at $4050 shipped to my door.
Another excellent alternative to the Vortech is the Turbonetic single turbo kit. They have the Z kit out right now, and the G kit should be available in 4 to 6 weeks. Best "pre-order" price I've gotten on the Turbonetic G35 kit is $4550. From what I've seen and heard, it's a pretty sweet kit and guess what - you can use your OEM exhaust manifolds or aftermarket headers (most short style) with this kit! The Turbo is also placed right up where the Vortech supercharger would go, which makes for an awesome stop and stare piece under the hood. The numbers in terms of performance is also very impressive. With only 8psi of boost, they've been able to plant close to 370 ponies to the rear wheels! You also don't have the tunning headaches as you do with the Vortech and Greddy system, which come with a base set tunning and will need to be fine-tuned for each application. The Turbonetics has a reflash program for the ECU and it's said to give pretty consistant performance right out of the box, run after run, day after day.
All in all, from what I've seen, I'm very impressed with the Turbonetics kit, but I'm looking for the best bang for my buck as well as the easiest in terms of installation and tunning. From what I've researched, my options are to either one go for the Vortech and save up to $500 (but spend more on tunning), or spurge a bit and go for the Turbonetics kit (and not have as much to worry about with the tunning - from what I've heard)...
Now if someone like you were to come into the picture and throw me an even better number for the Vortech, and I'm not talking about a $25-$50 savings, but a real difference ($100, $150, $200+ less), then I would seriously consider it...
What kind of qoutes have you gottten? PM me a price. It will have to be VERY atractive to get 3+ people in on it!
