Talking Vortech Finally Tuned

Well....I just got back from Charlotte.

Many thanks to the guys at CPR....they did a great job on my car!!!

I was kinda disappointed though......the 9lb pulleys are on backorder so I had to stick with my stock one.

Good thing though......they said "WOW....you got a good set up going here....
You dont NEED a smaller pulley!"

As I told them I wanted the "Safe....Neffster Tune"....and not a "Squeeze it till it Bleeds" type tune........

We actually backed it down some for safety and it only made......

395.2 HP...@ 8 psi

I'm happy with that!

mods? I have noticed that ALL of the Vortech'ed G coming off of the Dyno Dynamics dyno have put down extremely great numbers. I wonder if they are experiencing the same inflated number I was with the DynaPack. I'm not bashing...just an observation... OLDVFR, torque numbers? I have the EXACT set up you have...the Vortech setup up out of the box and tuned...btw, my observation above has been confirmed by the 1/4 times being put down by those same G's I am mentioning. Their low to mid 13 sec runs are consistent with my numbers...I guess that where the numbers really speak for thereselves. Thoughts?

Heres the graph.....

As far as mods, I have:

Motordyne Plenum Spacer
Kinteix HF Cats
Gruppe S Y Pipe
Custom Mid Pipe
Greddy SP2 Rear Muffler

Randy,

I think that the dyno # is a base for reference in tuning. To get meaningful data, you need to re dyno on the same machine everytime so it is consistant.

I really didn't care if it made 350...I just wanted it stable and safe. When we started, my base dyno run with the Vortech out of the box, pig rich program was right at 330 hp. So proper tuning can get you a lot of HP.
They got my AF line very smooth.

Question: If you get your car tuned and then you install a couple mods, would you have to get your car re-tuned to be safe and/or get the most power out of each mod?

Yeah, I hear you. I'd love to see what my car put down on their dyno. My AF curve is smooth and has been tuned twice...once in Cali and once here in Texas.
