Vortech Finally Tuned
Vortech Question: Can you guys feel a difference in tq under 3500 rpms? Or is it very similar to stock? Because I do most my driving under 3500 and I don't want to be flooring it everytime just to feel the power. Would the TN ST kit be a better choice for a flat torque curve?

Well, I don't want to feel peak tq under 4k, since I will be losing traction everywhere if I were to floor it. I just want to feel a power difference under 4k. Something that pins you back in your seat or maybe even a little. Will the Vortech do this?

2. The CF-S/C is 100% linear. You won't "lose traction" unless you're WOT with stock tires. You can easily go 3/4 WOT and not lose traction and keep VDC on if you like.
3. Odds are that if you get a S/C or a turbo of any type, that you will be going WOT much more than you'd ever think.
4. Do everything you can to get in someone's car that has a S/C or a turbo, take a ride along and see what all the fuss is about.

I'd say virtually no change under 3500 rpms....feels like stock cause you aren't building any boost.

At 2500 rpm you're spinning the blower and generating between 15,000 to 20,000 cfm and that is going to make a nice difference over a NA G35 IMO. This is why driving in a stock G every now and again is a good thing. 2 days ago I was in SFLG35's car which is a non FI (modified) 5AT Coupe and I could tell a noticable difference as soon as he gave it gas. It just seemed to be missing that little kick in the rear end feeling of the S/C down low.
IMO, it makes more of a difference down low than all of the NA mods I used to have (then again I now have all of the NA mods and the S/C so take this comment with a grain of salt...)
As always, YMMV! Still love ya' Terry!
I may be spoiled. I have to drive a NA car for a few days.
Whats getting annoying is the squirly 1st and 2nd gear. I was crusing today at like 25mph in regular Auto mode and I hit the gas. I felt her drop gear, I guess 3rd to 2nd) and as soon as I hit like 5000 rpm, I felt her back end start to slip. And first gear is just a joke as it gets squirly every time past about 4500rpms and the RPMs reach 7000 in a milisecond. I guess thats the drawback for having a granny tranny, right Neff? haha

Secondly, since you're usually driving around somewhere in the 2500 rpm range, you're making boost as soon as you give the car enough gas to raise the fuel pressure. Granted it's only around 2 to 3 psi of boost, but that's a far cry from running at vacuum like a NA car.

Humm Neff.....a totally different observation than mine.
I really see or feel no difference under about 3200-3500 rpm maybe partly cause my car was very fast reving before when I had the UR crank pulley.
or Maybe my car is a FREAK.......
