If you have looked at where the Vortech FMIC is mounted in the front you will see the the stock bumper completely blocks of the air passage to it, you cannot actualy see the FMIC at all. With the stock out of the box setup I had no issues but when I had extra add ons and tried to get more power that is when we started seeing issues with heatsoak.

I can tell you this:

3 weeks ago I was running the stock bumper and hitting about 10.0 on my A/F at about 6500 rpm.

I just got the TS1 bumper intalled and took it for a little spin. I hit 14.2 on the A/F at about 6000 rpm, scared the ****z out of me.

Loading stock vortech map and getting tuned ASAP.

Oh yeah, temp was about the same.

lower intake charge = more hp = need more fuel = LEAN

Rob said I would have the same issue, he told me to bring it back in asap when the new bumper was installed.

This is VERY GOOD to know, especially for those running w/o gages. Thanks for the tip.

If you plan on running the Spal fans . You need to look at the way TN is doing it . The fans are mounted on a thin metal plate that covers all of the IC . So the air cant be pushed out of the sides , and goes straight thru the IC

I like the thought of knowing that I constantly have gobs of air ramming into my IC as I am driving. Plus I think it looks cool.

I don't have a pic with me , but my G will look very similar to yours with Stillen facia except, with blacked out FMIC and matching oil and ps coolers (B&Ms) placed in the side openings. I am also dropping the APS FMIC down about ~1 inch to better expose the frontal area of the core and will move the tow hook to a new stealth location.

Jason,

How much longer until your car will be "finished"? Was talking with Rico, at zcar, while he was working on it, but forgot to ask.

Pics of your car are what inspired me to get the Stillen bumper. It looks awesome on your car!

I hope before TG. Not a big deal , I've been planning this build for over a year , so a few extra weeks is no big deal as long as it's solid.
