when I start the car in the morning, squeal

I just had a vortech installed. In the morning when I start it, the belts squeal for about a second. It does not squeal when I start it with a warm engine.

The mechanic said they cannot do anything about the squeal...should I be concerned, or is the squeal normal?

I would say that if it is squealing when it is cold....that the belt is too loose.

Check the tension and tighten it up a little bit.

There has been 50 posts on loose belts and squeal at start up . Search one of them up to see how tight it should be
