i was told by Brad @t-netics, that the boost pipe will not fit cause of the new cam covers for the 05, but he said if u really wanted to you could make ur own custom pipe, and you woud def need either EU or UTEC

the vortech looks liek the simplest setup. Most times...simple kisks *** when it comes to living with a daily driver!!.

and if you are looking for mid 12s, just put a nice nitrous kit with a 150 shot on it. That should do it......on street tires. With drag radials or better, you should be able to hit mid 12s on a 100 shot.

There are G35 owners hitting over 110 mph traps speeds with a 100 shot and the basic intake and exhaust mods. Definately the best solution for a daily driver!

escobar929 is correct. By time I did the research he already had an answer. The information below confirms escobar929 post.

When to the source on this one. Turbonetics said the kit for the 05 6MT will be available in the next few months with a different part number. Apparently the 05 6MT's motor sits a 1" or 2" off from the 03/04's. You can make the 03 kit fit but you'll have some clearance issues with the pipes. Seems like I’ll have to hold my horses for a few months UNLESS anyone has placed the 03' kit on a 05'. (Some1 Please Say Yes !!) If not I'll enjoy the wait (not really though) cause time = money = more parts. In 2/3 months I can get the kit plus the AAM spec fuel system, 440cc or 510 cc injectors and a new clutch/flywheel. Then I’ll be ready for 425+.

Thanks again for all the posts. I'm learning more about FI for my G35 everyday. I should have become a mechanic rather than a computer nerd. Cars are more fun then computers any day!

 

Yeah the 05 kits should be out shortly and for me it'll be the tuner kit since i already have the UTEC (proto) installed.

The best exhaust is your own custom exhaust. Go to your local muffler/exhaust shop and ask em for a quote. A 3 inch pipe directly from the downpipe, back, into a muffler. The less bends, the lesser back pressure. The lesser the back pressure, the more hp/tq

 

Some one mentioned getting a thicker head gasket . This is NOT needed . Guys are running up to 17psi on the stock gasket . I plan on around 16psi out of my T-trim Vortech SC

 

I'm not sure if this is true. I know of 2 people personally who've blown their stock head gaskets with built motors and a third through a friend of a friend. The 2 guys I know DO NOT want their names associated with this event, so I cannot share their names with you. Just as an FYI, everyone of these people had the ARP head bolts and they did not re-torque them as the installation instructions state you should.

 

Yeh...Sharif ...I believe said if he goes over 16psi he gets head lift . But with the SC that peak preasure isnt reached till right before red line . So I dont think it will be a problem . Most guys arent going for that high of boost any way , so the stock gasket should be good enough

 

I am tuned to 12.5psi and I get a spike to 14psi. I have carbon deposits in my coolant which is probably from the heads lifting.
