Technosquare, FI & Fuel trim
Technosquare, FI & Fuel trim
I noticed some posts regarding people haveing to do ECU resets to counter fuel trim they encounter with FI. Which I know first hand is a pain, I had the same problem with my Greddy Turbo RX-8. So this is what SGP's site says about technosquare
"Changed air intake system One of the major problems on this car was a feedback system that compensates for modifications. The oxygen sensors detects fuel mixture and will tell the ECU to richen up or lean out the mixture. This correction factor was way too wide, so some performance components upgrades (intake, exhaust) would actually result in a loss of HP below stock! We adjusted the correction factor to reduce that compensation reaction."
If I am not mistaken this refers to the fuel trim, so if they can reduce it, couldn't they eliminate it all togther. Then we could set our piggyback systems or just do it staright through technosquare and not have to worry about the ECU trimming the fuel settings? I am new to the G35 and it's ECU, so correct me if I am wrong here.
