Yo Randy

Im ready when you are but you will be going back to Texas with your little VORTECH tail tucked between your legs.........you better be putting out more HP than what is in your sig or its gonna be ugly. What in the heck does that video show that your car will actually start and run? impressive. Had to edit after I read your HP numbers again ........oh YEAH im ready to race em whenever you are over this way.

I'm looking to go forced induction and was wondering if you are worried that you are running stock internals with this kit.

IMHO, Not at all mine is only running 7psi.and a 11.5 A/F with the tune I have. From what I have read until you get well into the 400+ range rwhp the VQ motors are pretty safe. I think the main thing is to have the car tuned and tuned well. Most of the motors having issues are the guys running with a bad tune or even worse no tune at all.

I agree...and would like to add that less than a hand full of FI guys running a SC have blown their motors because of the linear torque that's made. It's mainly TT guys that are blowing the motor because it's spooling up and releasing the TQ all at once...BBBAAAAMMMM! New motor.

Well, as far as I know they run from 5600-6K, when I got mine it was the last one in the US and they said it would be 4 months or so before they would have any more available. The one thing to keep in mind on the kit is that it comes with EVERYTHING. No parts or pieces you have to buy to make it complete. Plus one other thing is the stock G's AC line has to be replaced because the bend gets in the way of the intake tube, but the one off of a Z works just fine.

I like the fact that I wont have to get a new hood. How much HP is this kit supposed to put down?

me too, I LOVE the stillen, something about the old school look mixed with all the new tech. and it sounds like a friggin banshee But the hood was something I didn't want to do. It IMHO gives away the whole sleeper thing I was going for. Untuned I really don't know but I have heard 300-310 on average. Not as much as other kits but I still like the overall quality and the fit and finsh better myself. On the downside they are more expensive but I do believe you get what you pay for.

I'll add ...that most SC guys that blew thier motors [ including my self ] Broke a ringland , and didnt bend a rod or throw a piston or a rod thru the block

Any idea what caused the ringland break? I have heard of some of the other SC guys mentioning this.

Wrong!! It's the tune not the torque!
