NOS and Dealership
NOS and Dealership
I'm seriously considering a Nos kit for my g. I'm a bit afraid of being able to have my car serviced under warranty.
Is there a way to easily remove major components of the system before servicing the car so the dealer won't know that I have a kit on the car?

Re: NOS and Dealership
The Zex wet kit is your best option I think. www.zex.com I know there is a guy on the forum named juicedcoupe who is running 100shot of zex nos right now.

Re: NOS and Dealership
I'm up to 125 WHP now.
I could probably remove all traces of the ZEX kit in around 30 minutes. But, I have a spare stock intake tube (you need to tap the tube to locate the nozzle) and used a fuel line adapter from SPX-KentMore (to tap for fuel without permanantly altering the car). It's easier to remove than to install, but neither is too complicated.

Hey juiced, have you dyno'd your car yet while spraying? I'll be running mine on a dyno to confirm my a/f ratio and exact hp this weekend. What jet sizes are you running with the 125? I'm currently running the 52/26 jets which is about 100 rwhp but have been a little tempted to jump up to the 125 shot.

Didn't you say you were already running 125hp? Or was that at the crank. What jet should I tell them I want. My install is scheduled for tomorrow morning. I sure hope it's not raining!

gdupg35, my current shot is calculated at 150 at the crank, 125 at the wheels. These calculations are not an exact science, of course. I am using 54N/30F; as Edretti stated, if you want 125 at the crank (100 WHP) you should go with 52/26.

Haha...hey man! I didn't know that you posted on here. I had a hunch but wasn't sure it was you. Yeah I'm running 125hp jets which is about 100 rwhp.

Re: NOS and Dealership
It's not what you know, it's what you can prove. That's why I'm going Nitrous. Easier to remove if anything happens to the motor. What the dealership doesn't know won't hurt me.
Re: NOS and Dealership
If tuned (jetted) properly, nitrous will not cause any immediate adverse affects or engine damage. Over time, your engine will wear faster due to the increase in HP and torque...this would happen with add-on N20, turbo, supercharger, etc.
Re: NOS and Dealership
Not to be entirely too picky but, you guys are killing me with the NOS stuff. Please N.O.S. is a company! Nitrous Oxide Systems! "N2O" is nitrous oxide. I know this sounds gay but you sound like ricers chattin like that. Maybe you didn't know or what not. but please refer to the stuff in the proper manner. it just makes you sound more intelligent.
Re: NOS and Dealership
Who cares if we call it NOS. Nos can be an abbreviation for NitriOuS. We don't really care what we call it everyone knows what we mean.
