I dont think the HKS makes any more boost than the Stillen . And the Stillen will make a little more trq. down low . You going to be taking a chance with any F/I . And for the 50-60whp gain , I wouldnt bother if I was worried about the car lasting a long time .

Jay - You guys plan on installing it yourself, or you gonna take it to a shop? I'm getting pretty serious looking for options out there. I just want to find a shop that can get the parts/install/tune for me; Do it all you know?

BUMP

I'm still looking into a system and was getting alot of good info. from this thread... anyway you guys can revive it...

This is what I'm lookin at -

Vortech tuner kit
Cams - Not sure which though - and ideas?
Fuel return system - AAM or CJM
RC 550cc fuel injectors
Walbro fuel pump
A/F, boost, oil temp, fuel pressure, EGT gauges
APS oil pan
Nismo Thermostat
Koyo radiator
Either Greddy Emange or Utec

Am I missing anything important for a realiable set up? Any other options for what I have listed that might be better?

Any tips or advise would be appreciated.

That is pretty high, the kit is only 7k and let say about 2K for install. Performance Motorsports in NY quoted me $9K for everything (Install + tune).

Which shop did you do? Performance Motorsports and VRT where the first 2 shop authorized to install and sell the kit.

can someone explain the readings on the various gauges? Having them is nice but how do you read them? For example, i dont know what the acceptable oil temperature is.. or the fuel pressure.. stuff like that. In terms of changing your boost, when people talk about "upping the boost" is this done by having a boost controller or are there other methods? So if you don't have a boost controller than your boost should be at lets say 8 psi at all times right? And the boost kicks in at what time for the vortech? Is it at redline?

i think thats all the questions i could think of for now
