Sorry if this question is not relevant, the kit comes with a box that control the timing right? How come you need a tuner, if it comes with preprogram timing box that there is no way you can access in to it? Well that’s what I got in the box. The other thing that I am kind of worry as well is that, they don’t send any injectors replacement instead they send another fuel pump that needed to be install at the front. So what is vortech trying to do? Do they want to force the stock injectors with higher pressure? With 0.5 bar boost, do you guys think this set up would be safe enough? For the future i mean.

Thank you

The Full Vortech kit comes with the SplitSecond fuel and timing EMU . It also comes with a Aux. fuel pump and a FMU . The fuel pump provides the extra preasure needed and the FMU controls that preasure . This system is perfectly safe... is it the sefest way ? ...NO...but it works great and you shouldnt have any problems with it . When you up the boost over 10 - 12 psi then you would want to look into upgrading the system

Please help

What exactly is the difference between the Tuner kit and the Full kit. I've heard different things, and can't seem to find the exact difference (besides price). Does someone know for sure?

tuner kit means it gives u more "tuning" options by not including the split second box so u can use your own like the emanage

Thanks bro.. I am aware it does not come with the SS box, but I've also heard it does not come with the fuel system. I am wondering what else it doesn't come with.

In terms of changing your boost, when people talk about "upping the boost" is this done by having a boost controller or are there other methods? So if you don't have a boost controller than your boost should be at lets say 8 psi at all times right? And the boost kicks in at what time for the vortech? Is it at redline?

i think thats all the questions i could think of for now
Upping the boost on a supercharger is done by changing the pulley, so you technically cant use a boost controller to control boost on a supercharger. One interesting thing I saw that blitz did was take a BOV and put it on a SC system, then controlled the valve much like a boost controller. They would use a large pulley (lets say for example 12 psi) and if they wanted 12 psi they would leave the BOV closed. But if they wanted 8 psi they would adjust the switch so the BOV would open just enough to give them 8 psi and the rest of the air was plumbed back into the system between the maf and compressor, this would not work on a blow thru setup though.

As for other things you would need for a SC, I would look into getting colder plugs for the setup if you do not already have them. a good rule of thumb i always used for my turbo car was for every 100rwhp go down a heat range.

hope this helps
