Man what a B#$#h

By God... i was at the track and about to do a light luanch on test tune day when all my power cut out and the car was doggin like mad =/. finished the 1/4 mile in 17 seconds haha. Well anyway i noticed my car isnt loud like it usually is "procharger" i get in the pit open the hood and noticed my drive belt had been naded to bits =/. luckly i had an extra belt and my tools on hand. Learned my lesson after nading a belt in the middle of nowhere and having to limp the G to a friends house to do the replacement in the dark with limited tools thank god our waterpump has a seperate belt! Thats the second belt i ve gone through, anyone using stronger drive belts on there SC system? It was a stock gates belt that i blew. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I don't have a procharger so I can't help you on stronger belts. On my Vortech I was blowing belts every couple of hundred miles and it was a pulley alignment issue. Finally fixed and have same belt now for 1500 miles and counting. FYI, the Gates belts I used lasted longer than the other types I tried (Goodyear, etc.).

Surprised you are tracking it without having it dyno'd. I know you have ECU reflash but I would still have dyno'd to check A/F throughout the RPM range.

Good luck with the belt issue!

Gotcha.

Can't anyone else with a Procharger chime in here?
