Thumbs up Stillen Stage4 power loss.fixed

Gotta say the experience that I had @ Stillen is pretty positive eventhough it took 8 hrs for them to fix and also was kind of suprised when Steve Miller came out & started asking what was wrong..showed his concern and assigned Sam & another tech to work on my car. Here are what they found:

They found a boost leak (incorrect vacuum tee on rear manifold fitting...installed by my previous installer)
My intercooler pump was airlocked therefore they bled the pump.
They also replaced a defective vacumm check valve for brake booster
They also took extra steps to open up blower, plenum, etc...to inspect for other possible faulty install (they found couple of missing bolts on intake plenum, rear & front bolt under the tensioner)

Also...FYI..I was recommended by Sam to use octane booster when doing lot of hard driving...do you guys know what's brand is the good/decent one?

Manganese additives are similar to tetraethyl lead just not as effective and leave serious RED deposits on spark plugs.

10% Toluene in gasoline is the most cost effective or just 10-15% unleaded racing fuel when you buy in 55 gallon drums.

sorry that I forgot to get the dyno copy from Stillen (I was so hurry to drive it back after 8 hrs of waiting) but I got 323whp with A/F around 11 to 11.5. I'll try to set up with my friend's vette in 2 wks (when I'm back in SoCal)...will post the result

yes he is, and that's what a big comp should be...showing concerns when there are complaints about their new products

i had the honour of meeting Steve Millen at the Stillen Day last year - he gave a talk on the Superchargers first, then me and my friend stuck around, and he grabbed us and gave us a mini-tour of the Stillen factory. some time during that, he asked me to help me pull the hood cover off of their famous 300ZX race car - 1000+ hp! later that day, he found me and signed my poster. a very nice guy, pleasure to talk to. that was an awesome experience.

i'm very glad they took care of you, nate. post the dyno chart!

glad to hear your positive experience with stillen... i just got back from stillen myself.... my stage 3 was sqeeking like no tom.... so i took it to sam.... readjusted my belt and we took a run... i kept noticing how my car doesn't pull as hard as other stillen sc that i've been in so they did a couple of test run.... turns out that the belt was a little loose and i was boosting arounf 6 psi, after the fix, 7 psi was measured..... wow! what a difference 1 psi makes.... needless to say, i was happy.......just wanted to share...

Can you post some dyno here? I want to see if the stage 4 did fix or improve power up high.
