Seymore4/Joe best Uprev tuner hands down
Hi everyone, just wanna share my experience with Seymore4/Joe etuning my 04 g35 coupe 6mt. Ive had my car dyno tuned before directly from Uprev at austin but later after having it dyno tuned I swapped out my exhaust for a motordyne tdx2 but as a result my car lagged power and the power weirdly fluctuated around 3k rpms, so I replaced many sensors and parts thinking it would fix the issue but still nothing. So I contacted Uprev at Austin to see if I can have it re-tuned because that's what it had basically led to, but they basically talked me out of it because they told me it wasn't gonna solve my issue and basically told me to fix the issue first before bringing it to them. I know they probably had good intentions but i felt that their customer service was not that good; they never offered me to bring the car so they could check it out or to do some pulls with the uprev software data logs to see what the issue was ( which I would have gladly paid for those services for) and they just left me completely lost. And so that's when I found Seymore4 who when I told him about my situation he gladly offered me to help me and check out my car. So since I didn't own an uprev cable he recommended me buying a new one from him because it came with lifetime warranty and so that after that we could start the etune process. Not gonna lie, I was a bit worried at the beginning because I didn't know him but he calmly explained me where he was from and that he was the tuner for a shop called Cajun B tuning, so I did my research too, and found out that everyone said he was a very well known credited tuner who has lots of experience, in which they were all right. So I pulled the trigger. From the very beginning he was super honest about everything, always answered to all my questions, and he always explained me every step of the tuning process, it's like he was always there next to me guiding me, and if i ever had a question or doubt he would always explain everything to me before continuing. And as far for how the car feels, it now feels amazing!! From the very first run and set of data logs of the etune process, he had resolved my issue and had my car feeling like a beast!! Much better than before. He did so many runs and data logs during the etune process and every single time he kept refining and improving the tune to perfection. I can even dare to say he had me do as many runs as when you take the car to the dyno, and the results were perfection. Now my car feels much faster and smoother. And as far for the pricing, all I can say he was the one who gave me the best pricing out of all of the rest. So if you're thinking of etuning your car, you want the best performance, best customer service, and want the best pricing Seymore4 is the way to go. He is very honest, patient, and would always answer to all of your emails very politely and professional! Check him out here in the forum or in the Nissan Titan forums, or in the 350z/g35 forums, everyone loves him. He's the uprev tuner of the shop called Cajun B Pipes(I think that's the name). Very happy with how my car feels! Thank you Joe!!

So the problem I guess was the old tune. I think since it was originally tuned on the invidia gemini exhaust before, it was making the car loose power and act a bit funky with the Motordyne tdx2 exhaust. I had power loss over all, but the most irritating part for me was the hesitation of power between 2500 rpms - 3500rpms, like if I was doing 40%-90% of full throttle, some where in that range i will always feel how a lot of the power will instantly cut down and come back up, back and forth, in that range, it was so so annoying. I changed all the cam, crank, knock sensors, injectors, spark plugs, and ignition coils but nothing. Though changing the knock sensor with its harness and cleaning the throttle body did help a bit, it still didnt solve the issue. So that's when I decided to get it retuned and found Seymore4. Seymore4 just basically started with a new tune and that fixed my issue.
To contact him, he's basically right here in this thread, so you can just sent him a message and he'll get back to you really quick.
And thank you again Seymore4!!

Just wanted to second for a good experience with Joe (Seymore4) It has been years ago now that I used his services. First he sent me a generic tune, and once I got a wideband setup for logging, the tune he created really woke the car up. I dyno'd 270whp back then on the generic very safe A/F ratio tune. Have not been back to the dyno since the datalogged tune was put in, but the car woke up a lot. Very smooth power delivery, great mpg and several maps switchable thru the cruise control buttons.
Communication was great during the whole process, and he was very patient. Credit where due.

Oh, yeah I'll totally echo EPiK's comments and add my props too. I'm on my second G35, Joe has tuned them both, and I will keep returning time and time again should I change anything in the powertrain setup. Best part for me was evening out and stretching the powerband. The pull starts earlier than under the stock tune, and keeps on keeping on!
I'll join the party, Joe was great start to finish. I got an initial tune, then rebuilt my exhaust ~6mo later, hit Joe up with the logs and he had a new tune sent out within the day.
Probably a better question for the other 'general uprev questions' thread, but can the tune eliminate rev hang?
