this website is so slow

this is the slowest site I have been to since the 90's! Its very frustrating because often times I wait minutes for a page to load, then press refresh and get lucky after 5 minutes. also it messes with my typing, after typing up a post I relize I am missing like 5 spaces and 20+ letters. This is the only site that does this. any plans to make this site faster?

The forum has still been experiencing DOS attacks. Also, database servers will be upgraded in the near future to help with the slow response times. We understand that the forum's performance is very frustrating, our apologies to all the members.

I use to have the same problem with this site. It took FOREVER to load pages but it wouldn't happen on any other sites. I don't remember what the fix was but the site works fine for me now.

If you go to your User CP and Edit Options, you can disable showing signatures and/or avatars. That way your browser doesn't have to load all the pics that people put in signatures and avatars.

Here at 20mbps + connection, and the site takes forever to load, or never does.
