New Infiniti Crossover (CX?)
New Infiniti Crossover (CX?)
"Nissan's Infiniti will add a crossover vehicle to its line by year-end.
Codenamed LSCO for luxury sport crossover, the rear-drive vehiclen uses the G35's front midship chassis. It will debut at the New York auto show in April and go on sale in December."

I expect this along with the new coupe in New York. Now all we need is an updated FX and possible Q.

I wonder if it will be built on the same platform as the Rogue, which is Nissan's latest crossover. I think this will be good for Infiniti.

Here is a "gesture" that was apparently released by Infiniti during at the 2007 NAIAS. Found on FA.

There isn't much you can take from a gesture so take it with a big grain of salt. However, the outline looks more like a hatchback to me.

In addition to the G35 Coupe sketch, Infiniti released this “gesture” of a crossover concept that will also bow in New York this April. The automaker has chosen not to disclose a name (or any additional material) for this concept at this time.
We’ve seen both the new G Coupe and the aforementioned crossover concept in the flesh, and while we can’t disclose anything about what we saw, we would suggest not drawing too many conclusions from the simplistic graphic provided above.

I don't see why everyone is mixing this information up. The press release at the top of the post clearly states that Infiniti will add a new crossover SUV, to be shown at New York Auto Show.
The new Nissan "crossover" is the Rogue. It's not really a crossover, just a small SUV.
As for the engine, I doubt it would have a 4 cylinder, because Nissan doesn't have any 4 cylinder engines applied to the FM platform. It will probably have the same V6 as the 07 G35 sedan (3.5L) or the V6 from the 08 G35 coupe (3.7L).
I'm excited to see this one!
