M3 rival.

well as there is alot of talk about the new G37 I for one love the news on the performance (M3 #'s) but will have to see one in person, I was always saying that the GTR will be named the Infiniti G45 but Nissan will be getting the GTR, so I do feel that a G50/G37TT will be produced to compete with the new M3 so at this point I'll hold off on the G37 until I here more about the possible G50/G37TT if and when it will be released. I think it will be a big hit for Infiniti to step up with a big hitter M3 rival. what do you all think?

It would be great if they made G37TT...

but I think they will name it something else? possibly make a sportline like M or AMG. I think that will sell like hotcake!

An M3 competitor should be around the corner, seeing how Infiniti is planning on debuting atleast 3 all-new vehicles this year.

Hopefully they add atleast one high-performance vehicle to their line-up.

I think Infiniti was counting on the GTR being that car.
Now that GTR is a Nissan.... A Hi-Performance G37 isn't too far fetched at all.

What platform is the GT-R being built from? A brand new one or a derivative? Im not sure how heavy the new M3 is, but if the new G37 is any evidence of what is to come, imagine dropping a V8 in that baby. that sucker will be pushing 4000 lbs.

The new E92 m3 with that V8 will be very mean in a straight line as well. The "competitors" better be an awesome all around car if they want to de-throne the current king of sub-75K exotic performance.

By the time you see something like that, BMW will have already upped the ante again.

The GT-R is going to spank the new M3 so I don't think nissan is worrried to about the 410 hp new m3, even though it's a pretty sick ride. I wouldn't count on the G50 coming out, and even if it did I wouldn't expect it for a another 2 or 3 years.

If infiniti decides to drop a highly tuned VQ45VHR in the G Coupe, then we will have a winner

But im just throwing random speculations.

Rumours seem to be more directed at creating a TT beast to compete with Porsches, BMW M6, etc etc.

Atleast I hope so...

Imo, the new ISF has better looking lines than the new M3. But Lexus screwed up again and is only offering it in an auto. Similar to Bmw SMG trans i think. I'm def going to drive and take an look at the M3 when it hits dealers. I will get an ISF or an M3 next year. The new G37 just isn't in their league yet. I am also going to drive the new C6. I loved my C5 the only complaint I have about it was the bland interior and cheap leather that Chevy used on the seats. Otherwise a great car had it for 5yrs with no prob and no oil consump issues.
