thats tight. but doesn't deisel pollute more? don't we want to move away from this 'dirty' fuel and go for something with zero byproduct like hydrogen or electric? Seems counterproductive to be but cool nonetheless

I believe current diesels are much cleaner.

I wonder if they would be able to retain the coupe/FX exhaust note. I wonder what these diesel motors redline at...

Won't be real fast, but it WILL be a "stump puller". 400+ lb/ft TQ!

It will be faster than you think. All that torque is going to give great off the line performance. There is a diesel VW Jetta in the Redmond, WA area that I have seen leave 25' strips of rubber when the driver was screwing around. Very quiet, no smoke, tons of acceleration

if it has enough gears, it'll plenty fast. a diesel G, i'd get it.

(i was going to transplant a diesel into my vic if the engine ever died, but the accident kinda screwed up that dream)
