you're suggesting they bring back the nissan 180, and put it in infiniti trim?

haha! a 6-series fighter... this list is going to get so long, though, that they'll end up in financial difficulties again.

I am not sure I get your point, in that post i was arguing why a G37 TT would be a easier and good model to put in vs. the 3 family. The previous poster was arguing why an infiniti GT-R would come out before a 37TT.

My assumptions here are:

IF they TT the G37, and IF they pump up the volume to at least 400 ponies, and IF they price it out less then $60k, it would make a well positioned car against the M3.

Why do people buy G35s when they can get a Z for cheaper? Why do people buy ES300 when they can get a Camry for cheaper?
G35 and 350Z are different enough; different styling and backseat in the G35, longer wheelbase, quite a few changes. The ES300 and Camry comparison... that's exactly what I'm getting at. There's not enough distinction between those 2 cars to justify making 2 different models.

Why did Toyota bother?

And you really think they're going to bring the Nissan GTR over to Infiniti without doing the same? The new car will be based on the same platform, it'll have the same motor, drivetrain and features, but I'm sure they'd redesign the looks and interior enough to make the car an Infiniti, probably to have something to go up against the Lexus LF-A...
