Yeah, I remember those times too. There was so much excitement over the concept G37. And then came the production model. LoL

The 1st pic in post#1, the front end looks like some of the new Volkswagons which isn't a bad thing. I just hope if Infinti gets a GT-R Variant, it's style is more in keeping with it's current identity!

IMHO the most cost efficient route for Nissan would be just adding a few new panels, an upscale Interior and a few more bells and whistles on the current GT-R platform. In today's volatile automotive market it wouldn't involve a whole lot of new tooling cost and would be a definite Image booster for the Brand.

Some might argue it would be competing directly with the GT-R, but with it's low production numbers and Long waiting list, it's not like a more Luxo Infiniti variant would hurt its sales...What better way to make Infiniti a Global brand?

Something like this maybe? INFINITI GX-R has a nice ring to it...

It's even harder to mentally justify if you're not even capable of spelling Infiniti correctly.

PS - The SHIFT keys for capitalizing the words at the beginning of a sentence are located on either side of the keyboard, and various punctuation keys can also be found at various convenient locations throughout the keyboard as well. But before you call me the "grammar police", or something silly like that, you should know I am just here to enforce the entrance IQ minimum that's not captured by the site registration forms.

Quote: I wonder if there's any hope of it coming with a proper MT?

MOST supercars DON'T come with a "proper MT" nowadays, time to get over the tough guy attitude of dumping your clutch everywhere you go

I think the new Infiniti sedan will be positioned to go toe-to-toe against the IS-F, M3, RS4, and C63. I hope they don't over price the damn thing.

Pricing, luxury, performance, competition taken into factor - Sorry, I do not believe an Infiniti GT-R based sedan will be a profitable proposition for Nissan at this point in time. In order to have a GT-R-like effect on the industry, this car would need to have the brute strength of the C63AMG, agility of the M3, with a pricing structure similar to a IS-F and interior material quality comparable to an Audi RS4. I don't see how this could be done.

That is true, it's part of the Skyline/GTR signature.

Edit: Hah wow this is such a bump.
