Z Car Garage 370z Thank You Thread!! PHOTOS!!!

Everyone here at Z Car Garage can't thank the g35driver community enough for all the help and support on our Follow The Nissan Z tour stop. The event was such an amazing experience and we couldn't be happier that we were able to share it with some of you.

To of our shop friends who helped in anyway: We are in your debt. This event would not have happened with out your commitment to the shop. You rock!!

Another thanks goes out to everyone who joined us on the drive out to the Sacramento dealership. What a blast that was!!! It was really amazing to see 30+ Zs, Gs, and GT-Rs driving together with the new 370z. This event would not have been as great without your participation.

Make sure that you check zcarblog.com for photos and an event report on the caravan from ZCG to the Sacramento stop. There will also be pictures and a breakdown of the our ZCG caravan with the 370Zs all the way to Las Vegas!! I have some great shots of the two 370Zs with our twin turbo 350z, twin turbo G35, and with the almighty ZCG GT-R. Wicked.

Nissan contacted us to host a stop on the Follow the Nissan Z tour that is traveling across the country right now. We held an event at Z Car Garage last Friday which went great. We then drove the cars to the next two stops, Sacramento and Vegas respectively. There are going to be photos and an entire event report on our blog site at zcarblog.com.

I also just put our stock ZCG GT-R wheels on another 370z that was here today. They look and fit amazing! Check out the blog site:

Motortrend- Locked and loaded with a 332-horsepower, 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V-6 and unique "SynchroRev Match" six-speed manual, which blips the throttle on downshifts without a heel-toe maneuver, the Z rips to 60 in just 4.7 ticks on its way to a quarter-mile run of 13.3 at 105.7

Edmund- There's so much tire grip that the engine almost bogs at the starting line, yet 60 mph comes up in just 5.1 seconds (4.9 seconds with 1 foot of rollout like on a drag strip). The new Z-car is no featherweight, as this test car's 3,359 pounds prove, but it does serious business, as the quarter-mile comes up in 13.4 seconds at 104.8 mph. It also comes to a stop from 60 mph in only 101 feet.

My expectations were too high when it comes to acceleration numbers. It looks like the weight stayed the same.
I bet with much shorter wheelbase it is a blast to drive though. Can't wait to drive this thing.

Acceleration seems to improve by ~0.3 tenths and 1.5 mph trap speed, which is what I expected.

I think people got carried away when they started thinking of performance numbers. The car itself isn't that much lighter, but considering that it still shaved off 95 lbs with all the new gadgets and interior that it has (along with those heave akebono BBK's), I think its reasonable.

What's even more impressive is its handling abilities. It seems to have greatly improved. The car is very sticky and has some great brakes to finish it off

Well if u think about it, that is how much the 09 sedan with 7AT improved which is also trapping 105 mph with 400lb extra weight, I would guess the 370 would be much faster.
I guess we just have to wait and see what people do with these cars in real life.

I'm sure if they run head to head, the 370Z's weight advantage will become more clear. That's in the straight line. In the canyons and track, the Z should be even better

The G37 Sedan is definitely no slug though. It's a quick car. People are consistently getting mid-13's with the G37 Coupe over at myg37.com.
