Not feeling the ricey kits. Way too sharp for a car that is bubbly and curvy. I think they have been watching 2Fast2Furious.

it's crap. What a joke. I won't buy another Infiniti--don't like the direction they are going in.

btw, there was supposed to be a ~400 G--with a V8, but I guess they scrapped it or put it on hold. I seriously doubt there will be a US infiniti with F/I from the factory.

I don't see any of the colors being used.

My thinking is that Nissan doesn't want to build a G that can outperform a Z, since the Z is all about performance and the G is for luxury. Nissan would probably have to go the Audi route and make the G AWD to make it that much different. THEN they can start with the real upgrades.

It's only in black and dark silver so far. You'd think they'd have some sportier colors for a performance line car (red, maybe?), but what do I know?

You mean the IPL G?

And there's a simple solution to that. Make the Z faster, then make the G faster

I don't get what people are complaining about (except for the borderline tacky kit). This is a first step. The same way Lexus offers the F-Sport on an IS350 and how BMW offers a 335is.

There isn't going to be a 500hp Infiniti right off the start.

^I'm not trashing the IPL. I'm excited to see what they do with it, but you have to admit, they could have put a little extra effort into their first car in the lineup to generate some more hype on it.

Yeah, my bad. The IPL G should be AWD to further separate it from the Z.

It's nice to go to PB every year for a week and have a free place to stay! Thanks to my sister and all haha. Maybe I'll get to see a 400+hp IPL next year at the Concours

Do the new G37s have the rev-matching transmission?

That's a negative. Which if fine for me, since I'm used to rev matching anyway on my own.

As for the IPL G37, I was hoping for a 400 HP G50 I don't think that's too much to ask starting under $50k. I would have happily paid a $7k premium to have one.

Does Nissan/Infiniti plan on using the 5.0 in anything else?

I haven't heard anything about it being used in other applications. I thought they would have used it in the M, but they pulled out the sledgehammer and used the 5.6L. I guess you have to keep up with the Bavarians somehow.

A 5.0 or single turbo 3.7 would be a good look as a true M3 fighter.
