While 2012 saw minor cosmetic and substantial performance gains in both handling and power, 2013 is expected to receive a bevy of miscellaneous changes – including a possible power bump to over 570 horsepower, according to forum Nagtroc.

The information comes from a special testing event that was held for European press at the famous Nurburging test track with the new GT-R, during which some of the upcoming changes were discussed. Based on that, it is expected there will be no visual changes to the next GT-R, but both suspension settings and transmission programming will be tweaked (again), while underbody aerodynamic improvements have been applied, emissions reduced and power reportedly increased “by at least 40 horsepower” over the already increased 2012 number.

Both the Premium Black and Egoist editions are to be available globally for 2013.

The other big change that is reportedly coming isn’t coming at all for the American market as it is a right-hand drive-only track edition. The car will reportedly make use of special carbon fiber bits from Nissan test driver Toshio Suzuki’s own GTR tuning brand known as “Nordring.” The new bits would reportedly include Dunlop racing slicks and special light-weight Volk racing wheels.

Expect more updates and exact numbers to become available in the near future.

The GT-R is truly IMO the best bang for your buck super car.
