the overhead screen is no longer my primary navigation anyway really, I do my navigation primarily on the pc.

plans for overhead is to eliminate the actual rear view mirror all togeather, then the rear wiper will also be eliminated & a rear view camera will go in the wiper hole. the overhead screens primary duty will be for rear view, I will be moving it forward & down a bit. it will wind up being kinda like the rear view mirror, but will still display the climate control info along the bottom of the screen.

I will do that by having my camera intercept the rgb of the stock navi so i can have camera & climate on the same display at the same time. when I shift in reverse it will still switch to the factory camera that points down at the bumper for parking. the factory nav will be just a backup system but will rarely be used if at all.

I just finished rubbing the fx out & polishing it, it really came out sweet, I'll show a few shots when I get a chance to take some pictures, it's at the dealer right now replacing the transfer case... the dealership was bugging out when they seen this fx, the service manager was flipping out, first he thought it was a tag job because it looks brand new body wise, & the vin comes back silver, he didn't belive me at first when I told him it was silver but I painted it black & changed all the body stuff to the new design, including the dash. once he looked under the hood though & saw it still grey he kinda eased up a bit, the looks on there face was pretty funny

thanks guys, updates? ok, well, I finished putting my ac vents togeather for now, so the install looks complete:

then, I decided to adapt a set of paddle shifters from the new g to my fx:

and I'm now working on a little custom headlight mod. I'm adding another set of bi-zenon projectors & another set of hid's... these will both be adjustable up & down from the dash **** just like the single projector was originally. this quad projector setup has turned into a pretty big project but most of it is done & working well. that's my latest project on this fx, when that's done I've got a few more mods in mind too, including adding bi-zenon projectors to the fog lights... might try to even have those also raise & lower with the switch on the dash too... haven't gotten to that yet though...
