35/45 swap

What parts are needed to make a 35/45 swap- If I could find a longblock at a good deal i'd like to do this.

Anyone done it? I've got the tools to do the work myself (as far as I know)

Thanks in advance.

Would need entire ecu and harness, possibly BCM and harness as well.

Trans are essentially the same, but the 45 axles in the rear are a wider diamter bolt pattern. I'm sure it doesn't matter if you use 35 rear axles of not, I've only had axle issues during drag racing.

For the costs and headaches seems like trading it in would be more worthwhile. Resale on a engine swap would probably go down vs just getting s 45.

I apprecaite and predicted everyones concern with me 'trading it in' but that's not what I'm asking about.

Sounds good- I figured just a ecu, longblock and motor mounts would do it.

Just gotta find a long block with an ecu / harness. (im not sure what a BCM is)

Thanks rookie.

Well it gets worse.

Radiator inlet and outlet are different. It's a hydraulic fan so get that too, brake booster located a little different if I remember correctly, as well as the power steering stuff. Hopefully you're starting with a AWD 35 or the whole trans thing is going to be needed as well.

Sorry man, you might as well build and boost the 35.

I think he's just going to slap a votec on it with EMS and a VB upgrade on the 3.12 pully.

Should be a nice daily driver- On some 22's

find a wrecked fx45 and see if you can salvage the motor.

Trade it in. It's not worth the hassle. Now if you were putting a 45 into a 35 COUPE bay, it'd be worth the hassle. But not for a truck you can simply BUY.

Definitely trade it in, or add boost.
