Navi Question

So I just purchased my FX about 3 months ago and I am have trouble with the navi, it's nothing like the navi in my G35. I used it for the first time this past weekend and when I put in the destination address, which was roughly 2 hours away, it would tell me to get there using local city streets, completely avoiding the freeway altogether. I've tried using both options, shortest distance and shortest time and it still tells me to take city streets. I've spent about 1/2 hour yesterday looking through all the options and settings and could not find anything. Can anyone help? Thanks!

My Nav in my FX is almost identical to my 07 G35sedan.

Has someone pressed the avoid freeways or highway buttons on the set-up.
My nav works great.

I thought that too but that's what's weird, the nav in the FX doesn't have the same options as my G. For example when I input a destination in the G's navi, it'll give me the options of quickest route, shortest route, avoid tolls, avoid freeways, etc..... but when I input it into the FX's nav, the only options I get are quickest route or shortest route. I've tried both of them and each of them still takes me through local streets.

Another difference I noticed is that in the G, you can save addresses in the address book and save previous destinations. In the FX, I don't have any of those options, I just have home, destination, and point of interest, that's it. And I have no idea why that is

On my nav, I go to settings to set my preferences.
It also has an address book as well as all my previous destinations.

I don't have either when I go to settings.

So I FINALLY found out what was wrong with it yesterday. Under settings, the option "show shortcuts" was selected. I didn't know what that meant so I unselected it and ALL the options showed up and minimize freeway was indeed selected. I'm glad I finally found out what was wrong with it.
