I'm about to purchase a black 2006 FX45 with 74,000KMs. Do they have any known problems like with the G35 such as oil eating engine, squeeky noises, and etc?

 

Urmm......for mine, my right rear shocks are squeaking after 80k miles. It's due to a loose bolt or spring which isn't really dangerous when driving but it does mean I need to replace it soon. You really don't notice the sound until you really pay attention to it. When you do, it's really annoying.

I had to replace my O-ring after 45k miles. A $10 job.

Other than that.....no other problems other than my sunroof that needs to be fixed. Man, I think I got a lemon out of all the FX models. LOL

 

Consider yourself lucky.
I had to get the following items replaced on my 2006 FX35 AWD with only 43000 miles on it so far.
Entire Engine and wiring (died after starting) - $13,000
Dash (bubbling) - $1,000
Instrument Cluster (defective tach) - $1,200
Front left light housing (condensation) - $800
Lucky for me these were all covered by warranty.
