Transmission Problem?

Vehicle: 2006 FX35 AWD, ~33k miles, OEM 20-inch wheels and tires.

Symptom: When backing with the steering wheel turned to the left, the vehicle hesitates to proceed in the reverse direction. I do not notice the symptom when backing straight or with the steering wheel turned to the right.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

Based on what you're describing, this sounds like more of a driveline issue rather than a trans issue. I noticed that your FX is AWD. Perhaps a problem with your front diff?

could it be your putting more strain on your PS pump while turning the wheel one way or anyother causing the hesitation issue? Sounds normal tho man sometimes u need to "blip" the gas a little bit...
