That's how my tranny has behaved since day-one.

^^ That happens to me too. I would say 25% of the time. As far as being able to chirp 2nd in same weather as you, I was able to do it fine everytime well 95% when it was 70 out on tires with 12k on them. Never tried chirping 3rd.

FWIW, after putting my after market 19's I wasn't able to chirp on 3rd anymore when shifting close to redline. Then I tried shifting fast around 5.5k and i was able to chirp it again, I'm not sure but maybe because of the MREV higher power/tq around 5-6K and die down after 6+K. Also after driving like a Grandma for a while you do tend to forget how to drive the car HARD! I think 2nd is very easy to chirp.

LOL! Dude, you're driving an '05. I drove my friends '05 6MT. You don't know factory OEM notchiness till you've driven an '03. But yeah, it's way worse than what I started with.

Yea the shifter might be hard, but it won't cause the issue you are discussing.

I bet with the reset it will be worse. Everytime my ECU has been reset the car feels sluggish. It was the same way with my other VQ. I simply don't understand people's idea that a reset is somehow going to clean up the ECU and restore lost power. It's quite laughable.

I have the same prob :/

But it's due to the environment, I've felt my car pull during the first 2K....

i'm getting used to it and it feels sluggish.

You sure your tires arent so bald that they just dont make any noise on certain types of pavement? The only thing that would not allow you to chirp a gear is your clutch not engaging all the way.. or slipping. You should be able to chirp 3rd realtively easy.. i know my car BARKS 3rd pretty stoutly, and leaves bout 15-25ft of rubber on the ground shifting to 2nd gear.
