Somebody trying to steal my car...?

I was away for the week-end and took the G35 for a spin first thing when I got home tonight

Back from the ride I noticed the rubber around the left passenger window was bumpy...
Took a closer look and it seem like somebody tried to pop it or something... like he insert a knife or I dunno what
Paint is ok but the damn rubber has a few 'bumps' in it now...

No need to say I was freakin' mad, the car is a brand new '06 from last monday...
What freak me out the most is I thought my driveway was pretty safe since it's completely hidden behind the house and you can't see it from the street

Did the same thing ever happen to anyone here ?

Man I hate theft and vandalism...

The fact that it's completely hidden from the street works agaisnt you, means a thief can work on it as long as they need to without being seen from the street.

Safest place...........

Both my cars stay in the garage, locked with no
access to the outside......that's safe. If your going
to leave your new G outside have your alarm system
upgraded with shock sensors and buy a carcover!
LOL...........

Shock sensors is a good idea

Maybe I just paranoid though... could it be because it sit in the sun and it's been hot lately and the plastic is expanding ?
You can lift the border really easily, might be more sensible to temperature

The other side also has minor bumps, and I don't see why a guy would try to f*ck around with the passengers windows... hopefully it's just a false alarm...

The driveway has a few automatic lights and a few houses around and lots of windows facing it, maybe it'll help a little bit...
Garage is just not an option for now, don't wanna move out

What model are you talking about? I've heard that the rubber around the base of the side rear window on the coupes can sometimes get or be wavy in appearance. This is normal on some coupes, so maybe nobody was even messing with your car?

Yeah, I think I was just plain paranoided and jump to conclusion a bit too fast, looking at it the day after I figure it was probably normal and now that you mention it, make sense
