Angry Never leave a Glostick overnight in your car...

So over the weekend, a glostick was left overnight sitting on the middle console (a small stretch of platic behind the cupholders of the console between the front seats).

In the morning, I find that the chemical CRAP inside of it had leaked out, bubbling up and melting the plastic / basically turning it to goo. It had dripped off the side towards the driver seat. It wasn't a matter of letting the stuff dry (if it ever would have), so I wiped it up and now have a nasty ugly reminder everytime I get into the car.

Who would have known that crap would leak?! It wasn't even sitting in the hot sun...

Based on the pic, how difficult do you guys think it is to replace that middle console part ? Would I have to take apart the assembly around the shifter too? I haven't seen a DIY about the actual middle part (under the armrest), only about getting up into the dash, radio, etc.

I knew I would probably get that from someone...

Actually, the stupid Glostick's are popular for little kids to run around with after dark when at a BBQ.

Hmm... still not the one. I've tried looking and I can't find the exact one yet. Still have to see what the Dealer's Part Dept quotes me. Probably an arm and a leg.

The console on that site is for a 6MT. I've got the AWD and it's quite different. The pic I posted is exactly the console I have.

Not sure if this is the one or not. Might want to call Joe at 1-888-216-5328 to see if that's the right one.

Good luck!
