If I was going to go all motor I would probably go with the high compression Cosworth setup. 10500rpm redline? I'd be all over that.

I may be off here but I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of the G's on this site are NA. Most people list their mods in their signatures so that should help with the rest.

I plan to stay NA as well.

So far, I only have the MREV+, NISMO Headers, Crawford Cats and Z-Tube. Immediate plans are to install the NISMO clutch and flywheel and possibly get a carbon-fiber driveshaft.

A little further down the line I might consider the gear swap, but performance heads and forged internals are also on my mind. The Cosworth head, having slightly lower compression than the NISMO offering, is very appealing to me as well.

[quote=GT-Ron] a carbon-fiber driveshaft.

I've been calculating a bit for this...it may just work out well. I need some more time - still architecting...

Very glad to hear that someone with your level of experience is looking into this as well. It just adds a little more reassurance to my assumption.

I think this could very easily be overkill for anyone running an extremely lightweight flywheel, but for the heavier NISMO lightweight flywheel or an AT G it might prove very complementary.

I want to get the clutch/flywheel installed soon, so I know exactly where that will put me, and then I'll look into this more.

Yea - I put the aluminum idea behind me a while back. Titanium was out of reach, though the money wasn't an issue, it was just rediculous to spend that kind of dough for that.

Try Motordyne Engineering for all the details, or search here. In essence, it's a plenum mod to increase intake airflow.

I believe he's referring to built up Long-Block N.A. VQ. Not just bolt-ons...

I've been thinking about going ALL-MOTOR instead of F.I. when I build my other VQ Engine. It's just not as much bang for the buck. Plus tuning it might be a problem, since not that many people have (350-450 WHP) VQ's w/Built up Blocks & High Compression Ported Heads. But I bet she'd sound sweet!!!

That's another motivating factor in staying NA for me.
