I wouldn't trust a tow truck either. I would trust my jack more than a tow truck. Those people are wreckless when handling your cars. I doubt my car will be towable.
there are towing companys that know how to deal with nice lwered cars. the stock jack looks like/is a cheap POS
My friend sets up a few wood blocks that get taller and taller (like stairs or steps) to get enough clearance for a jack under the car... He does this for oil changes but I don't see why you couldn't do it for tire changes... It's tricky but it works every time and he hasn't scratched or chipped or dented anything yet.. Ramps also work...

Well I always had lowered rides you carry a 2x4 plank in your car at all times that props the car up a good 2 inches so you can get under the car. That is what AAA does when they want to get your car on a FLATBED without scratching it up. Try that.........
