for those with bodykits and lowered coupes, a question.

I was wondering how you guys change your tire if you were to ever get a flat? I cant even fit the OEM jack under my car at all, and forget one of those jackstands... i tried even riding over a 2x4 piece of wood for extra clearance, this is just for future reference incase i get a flat tire one day. I wanna prepare for the worse. Thinking about it kinda scares me, heh, so how do you guys do it?

I get one front tire on a 2x4 if it's the front then I use the stock jack. It still doesn't clear but my sides are urethane so they get a little scuffed and bent but nothing you can see because it's way underneath.

My rear doesn't need a 2x4 but the jack still contacts my sideskirts. If I had fiberglass, I'd probably sand down a 4x4 at an angle or something. Make a tiny custom ramp...

damn, sounds scary, hope i dont ever run into this situation, perhaps i will try to take your advice on that 4x4 sanding it down and making a mini ramp and put this somewhere in my car for emergency's... that would suck if this happened in the middle of the night somewhere creepy...

anyone? even driving up a blocks of wood still won't yield enough clearance... do they sell special air jacks to be used on lowered cars?

i am dropped on tein s-techs, with OEM 18's and ings+1 kit all around. i just tried using the stock jack under my front area while riding up a thick telephone book. the jack fits under but when i start jacking it up, the bar starts hitting my sideskirts. I was scared i ad no other way so i kep going. That part where the jack hits the underneath of my sideskirt got it all scratched up and since my sides are fiberglass it started chipping. Oh well, i had no choice, plus its underneath so you cant see it anyways. Sucks. But eventually after jacking it to a certain height, the bar that touches the sideskirt eventually wont contact it no more, it only touches when you start jacking it up.

As for the rears. I haven't tried it yet. I hope its easier than the front and provides more clearance so that the stock jack doesn't make contact with my sideskirts. Someone tried jacking my rear with a jacklift before and it works, but it made contact with my rear ings+ lip, i thought it was going to crack it, but it seemed ok. This was riding over a block of wood for extra clearance.

If anyone here has a pretty low drop with a full body kit and was successful in using a jacklift without it touching your sideskirts at all, please let me know how you did it.

I hope that when I get 19's it will give me some extra clearance all around. Sigh.

I have the nismo sides and can jack my car up without an issue. I'm tucking 255/35/20 and 275/35/20's right now on KW coils.

Do you guys think I'll have a problem only being dropped on 350Z S-Tech's and the stock sides?
