03 G35 - smart-key?

Does the 2003 G35 (loaded) come w/ smart key? I only got 1 key when I bought this car recent and want to get a second, but if it has the smart key, I'll need to go to the dealership instead of a key smith, so just curious. Thanks!

if you do a search on this forum there are actually threads about cheaper alternatives...i.e EBAY...100+ for a key can be cut down to around 30-50 for a key/key fob..use the SEARCH button!

Replacement Key

I have the same problem. I called a local locksmith and ask if they could program an Infiniti key. He replied " Thats the fancy Nissan, right?". I said yes and he said bring all your keys and $65 buck. Includes a new key.

I would check with your local locksmiths (granted, they can't be a mom and pop locksmith) before going to the dealer. I had the same problem with a Ford and paid, I think, about $150.

Well, I went to the local locksmith today to get the key cut. After checking their book a little closer, they concluded that they really couldn't program the car for the new key. So on the the stealership. $182. Gonna have to think on that one.
