Warranty was entered wrong by dealer

Just wondering if anybody else has had to deal with this.

I bought a slightly used 2003 coupe from a dealer in another town where my father in law has a place. I purchased the infiniti certified warranty of 7 years 100k miles. I took it in to my local dealer to have my cd player fixed and he told me my warranty expired in 4/07 and that didn't seem right. So I called Infiniti consumer affairs and got ahold of a clueless young woman who said that the finance manager at the dealership I bought the car would have to fix the warranty dates. She really didn't even know anything about the extended warranty but thought that it should be 7 years from the original in service date. I asked for a warranty specialist or manager and she said they didn't have any such specialists that knew any more about warranties than her, I'd have to call the dealer.

Anyway, I am waiting for the warranty guy at the dealership to call me back, hoping I don't get the runaround from him too.

Sounds like a simple typo, and should be easily rectified.

Actually, both Nissan and Infiniti told me the dealer screwed it up. But (I have a separate post now), the dealer found out that the screw up was Infiniti's fault since the new 3 yr 100k certified warranty started in June. They moved everybody over to the new plan by mistake.

Anyway, he expects a lot more calls. They haven't figured out how to fix mine yet, but they better soon.

Stick with it.......and if you get any 'warranty' work done in the meantime, keep the receipts....... I'm sure they'll see it good after they fix their screw-up.
